In light of recent events (getting my heart shattered and all) I finally bit the bullett, walked into a parlor and walked out with this last night. I’d been considering something like this for a while so it felt good to actually get it. And it didn’t hurt as much as my last one either (on my other wrist) which was the reason I’d been holding off for so long.
I also had my STAT test today. Really hard and I’m really scared that i didn’t do well enough to warrant the 152 score that I need for my application. Really regretting not studying more in highschool now so I can bypass all this bullshit. My application would be long done by now!!
I just wanted to show something to you guys. i have that awesome run keeper app on my phone. and generally im pretty lazy with it. the arm band for my iphone anoys the ba-jesus out of me, but anyway. i decided to take it the other night when i went for my run. i knew because i was starting from work and not from home that i would probably loose around a kilometer. but if i ran past work, back home, then back to work i would gain almost 2 more kilometers. so my best friend told me that if i wanted to be a cop i would do the extra two. (my new mantra is ‘If i cant do it, i dont want it bad enough’) so anyway, im running along and im listening to my music and i get completley sidetracked and i take the normal way back through to my house and i dont even realise it until im there. so i lost about 600meters. but thats ok.
point of conversation is this. i can run basically an extra kilometer with barely any extra time. i really pushed myself this week. and i really did almost feel like i was going to die. but its worth it at the end. its worth knowing that i can do what needs to be done.
ulitmately i can run further than 5. i can run 8 at a push and 10 if i go slower. but i reckon on tuesday when i ran, on treadmil speed it was probably a 12. and i usually like to keep my pace at around 10. i just like to know that i can run 5kms in 30 minutes and i like to do it twice a week around my other work outs. much better from when i used to struggle to get 2 out.
